A Container for Every Job

15 yard dumpster

15 Yard

At 12 feet long and 8 feet wide, this dumpster can fit in tight jobsites and smaller driveways. It’s height at 4 feet makes it easier to chuck material over the side.

20 yard dumpster

20 Yard

Our 20-yard dumpster is 22 feet long. You’ll have the capacity you need to complete your job, and it won’t be difficult to lob construction or household material over its 4-foot rim. Like the rest of our containers, it’s 8 feet wide, easily able to fit in any standard driveway.

30 yard dumpster

30 Yard

Coming in at 22-foot long and 6-foot tall, the 30-yard container is the most common container you might see when passing a jobsite, but it’s 8-foot width is still manageable for any project—commercial or residential.

40 yard dumpster

40 Yard

Sometimes a project needs the big guns—in the world of dumpsters, that’s where the 40-yard shines. While still 22-foot long and 8-foot wide, this behemoth boasts 8-foot-high sides, giving you 25% more volume than its smaller 30-yard cousin. If you’re looking for the ultimate one-and-done container, the 40-yard dumpster is king.

What Size is Best for Your Project?

15 YD:

If you’re doing a small cleanout, like emptying your garage, or that pesky shed you’ve been meaning to tidy for years, then the 15 yard is the dumpster for you. With its lower rim, you can easily toss material over its sides, but still have enough space for most cleanouts and smaller remodels, like renovating a bathroom or small kitchen.

20 YD:

Sometimes you need to meet in the middle to meet your job’s challenges. The 20-yard container is a good balance in capacity and size and can handle most cleanout jobs easily. A larger remodel or home interior demo can also be handled with the 20-yard.

30 YD:

The 30 yard is probably the most common roll-off container you’ll see on a project. Suitable for office cleanouts, commercial renovations, or residential room additions, it can handle a large amount of debris. If you’re planning a large-scale estate cleanout, a total house gut, or have years of junk buildup to finally throw out, the 30 yard is your go-to.

40 YD:

The 40 yard is ideal for large construction projects. While oversized for most residential jobs, it can be suited for massive commercial demos and tear outs. Stock is limited—give us a call to check for availability.

Cleanups and Renovations

Homeowners get it—there is always another project waiting in the wings. If you’re ready to take your next yard cleanup, garage cleanout, or house remodel job off the backburner, let David’s Dumpsters help you get kickstarted.

With residential projects, you’ll always find something else to throw away. Our dumpsters can handle a wide range of material—trash, construction, and yard debris—but there are a few common troublemakers to watch out for. Appliances, chemicals, tires and mattresses are all no-goes at the landfill, but we can offer recommendations on how to dispose of these “usual suspects.”

On the Job Disposal

Commercial cleanups are typically linked to expansive undertakings, such as extensive building clearances, significant construction endeavors, substantial storm damage remediation, and essentially any substantial waste disposal project. Although you will still be responsible for loading these items yourself, there is usually more available space since our larger roll-off dumpsters are commonly utilized for these types of tasks. The same conditions apply regarding the exclusion of hazardous or bulky materials, and any inclusion of the aforementioned items will result in additional charges. Hazardous waste also encompasses medical-related refuse, including syringes, medical bags, any form of used/unused/expired medicinal cartridges, and so forth.

Still Got Questions?

Most frequent questions and answers

It’s always easier to list the don’ts than the dos! Our dumpsters can handle a lot, but avoid loading any appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, or dryers into the container. Also on the outs are mattresses, rubber tires, bulky electronics like big TVs, air conditioner units and chemicals—from household cleaners to industrial products. The landfill will not accept dumpsters with any of these items.

Even the biggest dumpster has a limit, and that’s usually marked by a fill line near the top of the container. If for some reason there isn’t a fill line inside your rental, use the rim itself as a judge and keep the material level with the top with nothing sticking above, especially sharp objects. Our drivers lower a tarp over the top to cover the container and keep material from blowing out during transit.

Every dumpster needs a great home and that starts with a firm foundation! Concrete, gravel, or asphalt are the three surest bets when deciding where to place a roll-off. There is always the minimal risk of damage to concrete but laying plywood boards beneath the container can provide peace of mind. Gravel or asphalt also provides a safe bedrock and will bear a container’s weight without issue. Make sure you have a suitable spot with plenty of clearance for our roll-off trucks to navigate. Our drivers can also help you pick the best location for your new rental container.

Yes, even our largest sizes can fit in a standard driveway—don’t let location be a barrier to your next project! Our experienced drivers can give guidance upon delivery for placement, and while there is always an assumed risk when placing a large metal container on grass or other damageable surfaces, most residential or commercial sites have viable drop spots for a dumpster.

Our dumpsters can handle a lot—weighing in around 2 to 3 tons of fabricated steel just by themselves. Not much can hold them down, but some materials do require extra care. Concrete, in pieces or crushed, can quickly cause a dumpster to become too heavy for our trucks to lift. Because of this, we advise using a 20 YD or smaller container and filling it only halfway with concrete. Dirt is a similar troublemaker and shouldn’t fill more than one-third to one-half of the container.
